What is Reunion and Parents Weekend?

Reunion and Parents Weekend at Homecoming is UC Berkeley’s largest annual gathering welcoming thousands of alumni, parents, and students to campus for three days of fun. Festivities include alumni parties, family events, the Bear Affair Tailgate BBQ, faculty seminars, campus tours, museum and library open houses, the Homecoming football game, and more.

How do I register?

Registration opens July 1. Check back right here for full details. Please email us at homecoming@berkeley.edu or call 888.UNIV.CAL (888.864.8225) if you have additional questions — we will do our best to help you.

How much does it cost?

Prices vary based on the events you choose to attend. The Class Pass costs $25 and provides unlimited access to faculty seminars, tours, open houses, golf-cart service, and snacks at Homecoming Headquarters. Tickets to individual events like the Bear Affair Tailgate BBQ range in price; prices will be listed on this site July 1. When you purchase individual event tickets, the Class Pass is included at no extra charge. You may also select one of the custom designed packages, which offer cost savings and ensure you’ll have access to all of the most popular events.

How do I get my name tag and program?

Before you go to your first event, stop by Homecoming Headquarters at the base of the Campanile to pick up your name tag and a program. Your name tag acts as your pass to all events you’ve registered for. If you don’t make it to Headquarters in time, your name tag will be held at the door of your first event. Headquarters is open all day on Friday and until the football kickoff on Saturday.

Does registration include tickets to the Homecoming football game?

No. Individual game tickets are sold separately through Cal Athletics beginning in early July. Check back here July 1 for a special discount code. Please note that students with season tickets must sit in the student section. If they would like to sit with their families, they will need to purchase additional tickets.

Where should I stay?

Go to visitberkeley.com for info on where to stay, dine, shop, and more. Make your reservations early as hotels do fill up and rates increase.

How do I get to campus?

Since parking is limited, we recommend public transportation. Visit 511.org for local bus and train schedules and maps. Once you arrive on campus, Bear Transit shuttles are available for a small fee, or volunteers can escort you around campus on golf carts for free. Stop by Homecoming Headquarters or any info booth to arrange for a pickup.

Where do I park?

We recommend public transportation to campus, but if you choose to drive, paid public parking is available throughout the city of Berkeley all weekend and on campus on Sunday. Charges and hours vary. See the campus map or city map for details, or call 888.UNIV.CAL (888.864.8225) for assistance.

What do I wear?

Your favorite blue and gold clothes! Be prepared for warm, cold, or rainy weather.

Can I change or cancel my registration?

Call 888.UNIV.CAL (888.864.8225) to change or cancel your registration before online registration ends September 15. Cancelations will be charged a $15 fee per order.

Can I get the contact information for a classmate?

We are unable to give out personal info. Please e-mail us your name and contact info and the name of the person you would like to reach. We will forward it to him/her on your behalf.
