Explore the incredible diversity of plant habitats from six continents: redwood forests, deserts, tropical forests, and wetlands. Feast your senses on collections of orchids, carnivorous plants, roses, and more! Homecoming guests can visit via a guided tour or stroll independently. Admission for Homecoming guests is included in the Class Pass. The Garden is open six days a week (closed on Tuesdays) from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Last entry at 4:30 p.m.

Please Note:

• We strongly recommend visiting on Friday or Sunday. On Saturday, Centennial Drive will close at Stadium Rim Way starting at 3:30 p.m. On Saturday, the Garden will still be accessible from above via Grizzly Peak Blvd after the road closes.

Transit Information:

• Friday: Visitors may ride the free H Line (Hill) Shuttle, which departs every 30 minutes from the Hearst Mining Circle.
• Saturday: Shuttle service is TBD depending on football kickoff game time. If a shuttle is available, it will run every half hour from Hearst Mining Circle to the Botanical Garden, following the H Line (Hill) Shuttle schedule.
• Sunday: There is no public transportation to the Garden on Sunday.
  Parking is $1.50 per hour. Parking is limited and not guaranteed. Pay by entering your license plate number and using a credit card or cash (no change given) at a parking lot machine, or, use the Pay By Phone app.

Please consider carpooling or taking ride share to the Garden on Sunday. Biking or walking up to the Garden is only recommended for active guests comfortable walking uphill 30+ minutes.
