What is Alumni and Family Weekend?
Alumni and Family Weekend (formerly called Homecoming) is UC Berkeley's largest annual gathering welcoming thousands of alumni, parents, and students to enjoy three days of fun on campus. Festivities include alumni parties, family events, the Bear Affair BBQ, faculty seminars, campus tours, museum and library open houses, the Homecoming football game, and more.

How do I register?
Registration for Weekend 2013 opens on July 1 and will be available online, by calling 888.UNIV.CAL (888.864.8225), or by mail. Registration will also be available onsite at Weekend Headquarters, but availability is not guaranteed and all prices increase by $15 per person per event. All events include unlimited access to faculty seminars, museums, libraries, walking tours; golf-cart service; and coffee and snacks at Weekend Headquarters.

How do I get my nametag, tickets, and program?
Before you go to your first event, stop by Weekend Headquarters at South Hall to pick up your nametag, event tickets, and a program. You may also download the program in early September. If you don't make it to Headquarters in time, your materials will be held at the door of your first event. Headquarters is open on Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to football kickoff, and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Does Weekend registration include football tickets?
No. You may buy single game or new season tickets directly through calbears.com or by calling 1.800.GO.BEARS (1.800.462.3277). Please note that students with season tickets must sit in the student section. If they would like to sit with their families, they will need to purchase an additional ticket.

Where should I stay?
Go to visitberkeley.com for info on where to stay, dine, shop, and more. Make your reservations early as hotels do fill up and rates increase.

How do I get to campus?
Since parking is limited, we recommend public transportation. Visit 511.org for local bus and train schedules and maps. Once you arrive on campus, Bear Transit shuttles are available for a small fee, or volunteers can escort you around campus on golf carts for free. Stop by Weekend Headquarters or any info booth to arrange for a pickup.

Where do I park?
We recommend public transportation to campus, but if you choose to drive, public parking is available throughout the city of Berkeley all weekend and on campus on Sunday. Charges and hours vary. See the campus map or city map for details, or call 888.UNIV.CAL (888.864.8225) for assistance.

What do I wear?
Your favorite blue and gold clothes! Be prepared for warm, cold, or rainy weather. Stop by the Cal Student Store in the MLK Student Union for memorabilia, books, and other necessities.

Can I change or cancel my registration?
Call 888.UNIV.CAL (888.864.8225) to change or cancel your registration. Cancellations will be charged a $15 fee per order and will not be refunded after Sept. 21.

Can I get the contact information for a classmate?
We are unable to give out personal info. Please e-mail us your name and contact info and the name of the person you would like to reach. We will forward it to him/her on your behalf.
